Day to day itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Kota Kinabalu and explore the fast developing city of Kota Kinabalu City.
Day 2 Poring Hot Spring, Canopy Walk, Kinabalu National Park and, Nature Walk
Day 3 Kudat Rungus Longhouse, Tanjung Simpang Mengayau
Day 4 Trip ends and transfers to airport.
Day 1 (L)
Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, you will be greeted by your tour guide. Depending on your arrival time, we will either take you to lunch at Sri Melaka Restaurant first or explore Kota Kinabalu City before heading for lunch. Formerly known as Jesselton in 1882 and renamed in 1968,as Kota Kinabalu or KK among the locals, the city is fast becoming a modern capital with excellent infrastructure and amenities.
We will first visit the Sabah Foundation Building (Menara Tun Mustapha), unique 32 storey building with no pillars which is one of the few hanging structures in the world. The trip then continues to Kota Kinabalu Handicraft Centre (formally known as Filipino Market), Sabah State Mosque, the Puh Toh Tze Temple, Atkinson Tower and Sabah Museum.
Your family will then be transferred to Cititel Express Hotel for check in. After check in, it will be free at your own leisure.

Day 2 (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby. For our first destination, we will depart early for a 2-hour drive through scenic countryside and mountain range on the way to Poring Hot Spring which is located about 126km from Kota Kinabalu. We will also make a brief stop at the Nabalu Market to bargain for local handicrafts and fruit before continuing on our journey. Upon arrival at Poring Hot Spring, we will first take the jungle trail to cross a canopy walkway (100 feet above the forest floor) to explore the wildlife endemic to Mount Kinabalu. Then, we will make our way to the soothing and therapeutic hot springs which many believe could heal certain ailments.
After the refreshing dip, the tour continues with lunch at Sri Papar Restaurant or at Round Inn before we proceed to Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site, the Kinabalu National Park (about 39km from Poring). Kinabalu National Park offers an abundant variety of flora and fauna, boasting the world’s largest flowering plant, the Rafflesia and several species of pitcher plants and birds. The highest mountain in Southeast Asia, Mount Kinabalu stands tall at 4,101 meters above sea level. The tour at the park proceeds with a jungle walk with the park guide and includes a visit to the exhibition centre where you will find more information on the unique species of animals and plants endemic to Mount Kinabalu.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to Kota Kinabalu. Before heading back to the hotel, we will stop for dinner at Kampung Nelayan Floating Seafood Restaurant. Dinner will be complemented with vibrant cultural performances by our local dancers. After the performance, there will be opportunities to take pictures with the dancers and join the dancers on stage for a dance.
Day 3 (B, L)
After breakfast, your tour guide will be meeting up with you and your family at the hotel lobby. At 0800hrs, we will then depart forto Kudat to visit the Rungus Long House by 0800hrs. Along the 3 hours drive en-route to Kg. Bavangazo (where the long house is located) to the Kudat Town, you will drive pass by oil palm plantations. Oil palm fruit is the golden fruit of Malaysia, the golden fruit of Malaysia. Upon arrival, our local guide will brief you stories that you want to know about the traditions and culture of the Rungus ethnic people and their traditions. After the visit, we will bring you for lunch at the Kudat Golf & Marina Resort. After lunch, you will be transferred to Tanjung Simpang Mengayau, popularly known as the Tip of Borneo. Along the journey, you will pass through wild coconut trees and friendly villagers. Witness the spectacular and breathtaking view of where the South China Sea and Sulu Sea meets, as you stand at the very Tip of Borneo Island. In the late afternoon, you will then be transferred you back to Kota Kinabalu.
Day 4 (B)
You will have breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, you will depart for Kota Kinabalu International Airport in time to meet your onward flight. You may depart on the same day or alternatively you are welcome to book an extension stay to enjoy more time in our tropical climate home. At the end of your time with us, you will be transferred to Kota Kinabalu International Airport in time to meet your onward flight.
